NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901) saw its shares climb 3.22% before noon, trading at HK$47.52, with a turnover of HK$170 million.

The company recently released its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, ended November 30, 2025. Net revenue increased by 14.7% year-on-year to $1.191 billion; operating profit surged 244.4% to $66.3 million; and profit attributable to shareholders grew 42.3% to $45.5 million. The company also raised its full-year net revenue guidance for fiscal 2026 to a range of $5.292 billion to $5.488 billion, representing growth of 8% to 12%.

JPMorgan issued a research report reiterating its "Overweight" rating and preferred stock status for NEW ORIENTAL-S, while raising its target price from HK$53 to HK$55. The bank noted that NEW ORIENTAL-S's second-quarter fiscal 2026 results exceeded expectations, and the guidance upgrade marks the first such move in two years. Management's optimistic outlook prompted the bank to raise its operating profit forecasts for fiscal years 2026 and 2027 by 7%.
