The "Shanghai Supply and Marketing Fair—Anqing Special Session" was recently held in Shanghai's Putuo District. This event marked the first time the Anqing supply and marketing system has entered Shanghai in a dedicated format, aiming to establish a direct production-sales platform for Anqing's agricultural products to access the Yangtze River Delta market and deepen supply and marketing cooperation between Shanghai and Anqing.
At the event, a cultural tourism booth was set up using the "supply and marketing + cultural tourism" model. While promoting Anqing's distinctive agricultural products, cultural elements such as Huangmei opera and folk customs of the ancient city were integrated, allowing Shanghai residents to purchase authentic local goods and immerse themselves in Anqing's cultural charm right at their doorstep.
During the event, Anqing's specialty agricultural products were well-received by Shanghai residents, with total sales reaching 171,600 yuan and daily foot traffic exceeding 10,000 people. Lightly salted and oil-rich salted duck eggs became a highlight of the fair, with many residents making repeat purchases over multiple days. Products such as Yuexi mountain delicacies, tea, Tianzhu Mountain Dendrobium officinale, and Wangjiang eels were also popular, generating enthusiastic responses on-site.
"This event is an important practice in promoting Anqing's agricultural products into Shanghai," said a relevant official from the municipal supply and marketing cooperative. They emphasized that the supply and marketing system's network advantages will continue to be leveraged to strengthen production-sales connections and brand cultivation, helping more high-quality Anqing agricultural products enter the Yangtze River Delta market and support rural industry revitalization.
