New Frontier Mining and Austral Resources Advance Queensland Copper Project with Ore Recovery Rates Up to 99%

Exploration progress is significant, with excellent metallurgical recovery rates. New Frontier Mining recently announced the completion of a joint field inspection of the NWQ Copper Project in Australia with its strategic partner Austral Resources. Preliminary metallurgical test results show copper recovery rates ranging from 83% to 99%, with some samples even exceeding 95%. This data indicates that the project's ore is suitable for conventional acid leaching processing, paving the way for toll treatment through Austral's advanced processing facility at Mt Kelly.

The cooperation model and resource base. The NWQ Copper Project includes the Big One deposit, which has a JORC 2012 inferred mineral resource estimate of 2.1 million tonnes at a copper grade of 1.1%, containing 21,886 tonnes of copper metal, as well as the historically significant Mt Storm tenement. The two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding, establishing the foundation for a strategic alliance: in the future, ore supplied from New Frontier Mining's tenements can be processed at Mt Kelly. This provides Austral with a source of high-grade copper ore feedstock while offering New Frontier Mining a clear path to commercialize exploration results without the need for independent processing infrastructure.

Management comments and project outlook. New Frontier Mining Chairman Gerrard Hall stated that the current copper market is exceptionally strong, and the company believes its partnership with Austral holds significant value in advancing the NWQ Copper Project. He noted that the Big One deposit particularly benefits from established regional infrastructure and is located within one of Australia's most renowned and mature copper mining districts. This joint field inspection aimed to assess the broader exploration potential of the Big One deposit and the Big One North anomaly. The Austral team also conducted an assessment of the historical Mt Storm tenement. Historically, small-scale mining at Mt Storm produced approximately 1,100 tonnes of ore with a copper grade of 6%.

Company background and other projects. New Frontier Mining is an Australia-based exploration company with a strategic goal of developing multi-commodity assets with future economic extraction potential. In addition to the NWQ Copper Project, the company is also advancing the Harts Range niobium, uranium, and heavy rare earths project in the Northern Territory, as well as an option on a rare earths project in Quebec, Canada. The company's shares trade on the Australian Securities Exchange, the London Stock Exchange, and the OTCQB market under the symbols NFM and NFMXF.
