On July 30, China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB) Chairman Zhang Jinliang met with Kazakhstan National Bank Governor Suleimenov and Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency Chairperson Abylkassymova at the bank's headquarters. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in capital markets, cross-border renminbi business, and artificial intelligence applications.
CCB Vice President Han Jing also participated in the meeting. The bank places significant emphasis on the Kazakhstan and Central Asian regional markets. As the first foreign bank to enter the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and its renminbi clearing bank, CCB's Astana branch leverages the group's comprehensive strengths to actively engage in AIFC development and the China-Kazakhstan Belt and Road cooperation. It provides high-quality financial services for connectivity and industrial capacity collaboration, supporting the deepening of bilateral trade and investment ties.
Representatives from CCB's head office departments, including Compliance, Financial Markets, International Business, Fintech, Precious Metals and Commodities, along with the Astana branch, attended the meeting.
