Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated on the 11th that, during a period of extreme turbulence in the global energy market, Ukraine's military attacks on the Russia-located TurkStream natural gas pipeline pose a severe threat to Hungary's energy security. Szijjártó characterized Ukraine's assault as a "criminal act."
He emphasized that the TurkStream pipeline is a crucial guarantee for Hungary's natural gas supply. Should the pipeline become inoperable, Hungary would lose access to its gas supply.
It has been reported that over the past two weeks, Ukraine has attempted to attack the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines on twelve separate occasions. According to Russian sources, all of these attacks were unsuccessful, and the related infrastructure sustained no damage.
