POP MART (09992) experienced a significant intraday surge of more than 7%. At the time of writing, the stock was up 7.26%, trading at HK$16.25, with a turnover of HK$2.686 billion. The movement follows recent comments from renowned investor Duan Yongping, who frequently mentioned POP MART and publicly stated, "My POP MART insurance company is now officially open for business." This indicates that Duan Yongping has begun acquiring shares of the company.

On April 13, when responding to a netizen's request to share his valuation approach for POP MART, Duan Yongping suggested they read the book "Because of Uniqueness" and mentioned that he is a fan of the company's founder, Wang Ning. "Because of Uniqueness" is based on in-depth interviews with Wang Ning and systematically details his entrepreneurial journey and the company's global expansion practices.

Previously, while evaluating POP MART's 2025 annual report, Duan Yongping remarked that the financial results piqued his curiosity, leading him to spend several days understanding the company. He expressed that he hadn't felt such excitement in a long time. Duan Yongping also stated, "POP MART's competitive moat is far stronger than imagined." He identified several key barriers for the company: established user attention and brand recognition, exclusive contracts with artists, a global retail store network, and the strong leadership of Wang Ning and his team, which encompasses production, logistics, quality control, and other operational aspects.
