Mengniu Dairy (China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited) reported the repurchase of 400,000 ordinary shares on 2 September 2026 via on-market transactions on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The shares were bought at prices ranging from HK$17.85 to HK$17.88, with a volume-weighted average cost of HK$17.8759 per share, resulting in an aggregate consideration of HK$7.15 million.
Including this latest transaction, Mengniu Dairy has repurchased a cumulative 3.84 million shares under the general mandate approved on 5 June 2026. The cumulative buybacks represent approximately 0.10% of the company’s issued share capital at the time the mandate was granted. The mandate authorises repurchases of up to 387.89 million shares, leaving 384.05 million shares—or about 99.01% of the mandate—still available.
Alongside the 400,000 shares repurchased on 2 September, the company had previously acquired 500,000 shares on 31 August 2026 at a volume-weighted average price of HK$17.9769. Both batches are earmarked for cancellation but had not yet been cancelled as of the reporting date.
Following the transactions, Mengniu Dairy’s issued share capital remains at 3.87 billion shares, unchanged pending the formal cancellation of the repurchased stock. In line with Hong Kong listing rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling any treasury shares until 2 October 2026.
