European Natural Gas Prices Rise Amid Escalating Middle East Tensions

Deep News08:00

European natural gas prices have increased following a fresh escalation in the Middle East, as Iran launched several missiles toward Israel, threatening an already fragile ceasefire.

Near-month futures rose by 2.4% to €49.675 per megawatt-hour ($57.22). Trading volume was less than 1% of the three-month average.

The Israeli military stated it had intercepted all the missiles, and emergency services reported no casualties.
