The Joint Maritime Information Centre (JMIC) has indicated in a report that following recent attacks, multiple companies have postponed vessel transits through the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a decline in commercial vessel traffic to its lowest point in three weeks.
Vessels are currently navigating via the southern Omani route and the northern route controlled by Iran.
The recent attack on a tanker in Omani waters has further influenced operator behavior, resulting in a significant drop in traffic density.
Transits of commercial vessels, conducted with U.S. assistance, are continuing, but the number of ships has decreased.
