On the morning of July 2nd, the undergraduate commencement and degree conferral ceremony for Peking University's Class of 2026 was held at the Khoo Teck Puat Gymnasium.
Li Bin, the founder and chairman of NIO Inc. and a 1991 undergraduate alumnus of the university's Department of Sociology, attended the ceremony to share insights with the graduating class.
He reflected on his experiences navigating six significant personal and professional low points over the past 30 years since his own graduation.
Li Bin conveyed that while life's choices may not always align with expectations, they invariably foster growth, and that the path forward is often found through introspection.
His parting advice to the new graduates was to remain true to their inner selves and to practice honesty with themselves.
