China's Vice Commerce Minister Ling Ji Meets with PayPal's Global VP Richard Nash

On December 10, China's Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy International Trade Representative Ling Ji met with Richard Nash, Global Vice President of PayPal. The two sides exchanged views on PayPal's investment and operations in China, as well as opportunities arising from China's open development policies.

Ling Ji stated that China will support the sustained and healthy development of new business models such as cross-border e-commerce, aiming to build the "Shop in China" brand. Efforts will be made to expand inbound consumption by foreign tourists and enhance the convenience of entry-exit travel. He welcomed PayPal to further expand its business in China, innovate cross-border payment products and services, and improve interconnectivity.

Richard Nash noted that PayPal's business in China has continued to grow, benefiting from the country's increasingly open policy environment. PayPal will strengthen cooperation with Chinese e-commerce enterprises and deepen international collaboration in payment systems to contribute to the "Shop in China" initiative.
