New Amante Releases FY-2026 ESG Report: 45% Cut in GHG, Zero Compliance Breaches, Net-Zero Roadmap Detailed

Bulletin Express08-31

New Amante Group Limited has published its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for the financial year ended 31 May 2026, outlining material progress in emissions control, resource efficiency and governance while confirming no material breaches of Hong Kong regulations.

Key environmental metrics and targets

• Greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions fell to 30.2 tonnes CO₂-equivalent, down 44.99% from 54.9 tonnes a year earlier, driven mainly by lower electricity demand after the expiry of the LKF Lounge lease on 31 January 2026. • Indirect (Scope 2) emissions were 26.8 tCO₂e, versus 54.6 tCO₂e in FY-2025; Scope 1 emissions were negligible. The Group has set a 5% reduction target for both Scope 1 and Scope 2 intensity by 2028 (baseline FY-2023). • Electricity use dropped to 45,440 kWh (0.05 million kWh), down 50.04% year on year; intensity stood at 2,496.7 kWh per HK$1 million of revenue. A 5% cut in energy- and water-consumption intensity by 2028 is targeted. • No significant hazardous or non-hazardous waste volumes were recorded; waste intensity targets are set to remain “minimal”.

Climate-risk framework

The Board oversees climate strategy, supported by management-level execution and continuous risk monitoring. Scenario analysis referencing IPCC RCP 2.6/8.5 and IEA NZE 2050/SPS guides identification of acute physical (typhoons, flooding) and transition (policy, market, reputation) risks. Strategic goals call for Group-wide carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.

Social performance

• Workforce: 13 employees as at 31 May 2026 (38.5 % male, 61.5 % female), following the temporary closure of LKF Lounge; a new venue in Wan Chai is slated to open in September 2026. • Turnover: overall staff turnover rate rose to 561.5% amid outlet relocation; no child or forced labour cases were identified. • Training: 100% of staff received training, averaging 1.0 hour per employee. • Health & Safety: zero work-related fatalities and no lost-time injuries were reported.

Supply chain and product responsibility

Operations relied on 13 Hong Kong-based suppliers for food and beverage inputs, with selection criteria covering quality, cost, delivery reliability and ESG standards. No significant quality issues, supply disruptions or product recalls were recorded. Data-privacy controls and intellectual-property safeguards are embedded in employment contracts and internal manuals.

Governance and compliance

The ESG Report confirms full adherence to Hong Kong’s Employment Ordinance, Occupational Safety & Health Ordinance, Environmental Protection statutes and anti-corruption laws. No material fines, sanctions or legal cases were reported during the period. An anti-fraud framework, overseen by the Audit Committee, includes regular risk assessments and a whistle-blowing mechanism.

Outlook

With a downsized environmental footprint and clear decarbonisation targets, New Amante plans to embed energy-saving initiatives and climate-risk considerations into its planned Wan Chai outlet and future operations, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth.
