Hainan Province Announces Fuel Price Increase Effective May 22

The Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced that, in accordance with the domestic refined oil price adjustment information published by the National Development and Reform Commission on May 21, 2026, the prices of gasoline and diesel (standard products) will be increased by 75 yuan and 70 yuan per ton, respectively.

Following the national price adjustment, the Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission has correspondingly adjusted the maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel in the province. The new prices will take effect starting at 0:00 on May 22, 2026.

After the adjustment, the price of 92# gasoline is set at 9.89 yuan per liter, 95# gasoline at 10.51 yuan per liter, and 0# diesel at 8.56 yuan per liter. This represents an increase of 0.06 yuan, 0.07 yuan, and 0.06 yuan per liter, respectively.

In accordance with relevant regulations on the linkage between oil and gas prices, the retail price of compressed natural gas (CNG) for vehicles in Hainan has also been adjusted. The price increases from 6.00 yuan per cubic meter (equivalent to 8.34 yuan per kilogram) to 6.05 yuan per cubic meter (equivalent to 8.41 yuan per kilogram).
