Located along the scenic Shichahai lakefront, Qingyun Lou Restaurant is a century-old establishment. "Our discounts are not just for seniors from the Baimi Community of Shichahai Street; tourists over 60 who show their ID card can also enjoy them," explained Qu Fanxi, the restaurant's manager. He noted that they feature a different discounted dish every day.

Among these, the restaurant's pork wrap—the very same one that NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang recently enjoyed during his visit—is available to seniors at half price. A photo of Jensen Huang's visit to Qingyun Lou Restaurant was provided by the interviewee.

In Beijing's Xicheng District, where over 30% of the population is elderly, 12 communities have been recognized as national model senior-friendly communities. According to a representative from the Shichahai Street office, the Baimi Community has established a special block for elderly care and support, with 19 merchants designated as "Filial Piety Table" demonstration vendors, offering exclusive discounts to seniors. In addition, some restaurants provide supplementary services such as free delivery and customized soft food options.
