The National Development and Reform Commission has adjusted refined oil product prices effective from 24:00 on May 21, 2026, based on recent changes in international market oil prices. According to national regulations, the maximum retail price for 89-octane gasoline (standard product) in the city has been raised by 75 yuan per ton, from 10,820 yuan to 10,895 yuan. The maximum retail price for 0-diesel (standard product) has been increased by 70 yuan per ton, from 9,745 yuan to 9,815 yuan. Maximum retail prices for other grades of gasoline and diesel have also been adjusted accordingly. The adjusted maximum retail prices per liter in the city are as follows: 8.13 yuan for 89-octane gasoline, an increase of 0.05 yuan; 8.77 yuan for 92-octane gasoline, an increase of 0.06 yuan; 9.27 yuan for 95-octane gasoline, an increase of 0.07 yuan; and 8.48 yuan for 0-diesel, an increase of 0.06 yuan. Retail enterprises may set specific retail prices as long as they do not exceed the maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel. This marks the eighth price increase this year. For a private car with a 70-liter fuel tank, filling up will cost approximately 5 yuan more. Following this adjustment, the price adjustment pattern for 2026 will become "eight increases, one decrease, and one hold." The probability of another price increase in the next refined oil product adjustment is relatively high. The next retail price adjustment window is scheduled to open at 24:00 on June 4, 2026.
