Shares of Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte SAB de CV (OMAB) fell sharply by 5.43% during Tuesday's intraday trading session.
The decline follows the company's release of first-quarter financial results, which showed earnings per share falling short of analyst expectations. The airport operator reported adjusted earnings of $1.45 per share for the quarter ended March 31, missing the mean analyst estimate of $1.53 per share.
Despite reporting revenue that beat expectations, rising 24.3% year-over-year to $217.37 million, investors focused on the earnings miss, driving the stock price lower. This marks the second consecutive quarter where the company's earnings have fallen short of Wall Street forecasts.
