On October 13, OOIL rose 3.01% in regular trading, trading at 164.5 HKD/share, with Turnover of 187 million HKD. The move was driven by shipping giant Maersk's announcement to raise its emergency fuel surcharge to 20% effective October 12, which lifted sentiment across container shipping stocks.
Additionally, OOIL's third-quarter operating summary showed liner revenue of $3.285 billion, up 45.1% year-over-year, while total liftings increased 9.0% and average revenue per TEU rose 33.1%. For the first nine months, liner revenue increased 18.9% and liftings rose 6.5%, providing solid fundamental support.
OOIL is principally engaged in container transportation and logistics, covering major routes in the Pacific, Atlantic, Asia-Europe, Asia-Australia and intra-Asia regions, along with integrated cargo storage and flow management services.
