Muyuan Foods (02714) Slides Over 3% as National Hog Prices Keep Falling, Supply-Demand Imbalance Persists

Stock News10-15

Muyuan Foods (02714) continued its decline today, falling 3.45% to HK$34.1 as of press time, with a turnover of HK$24.7039 million.

On the news front, national hog prices have continued to slide. On October 13, the average price of external three-way crossbred hogs nationwide was approximately 10.07-10.10 yuan per kilogram, dropping below the 10-yuan mark once again after a brief rebound before the holiday.

Additionally, according to disclosures from Muyuan Foods Group Co.,Ltd. (002714), in September this year, the company sold approximately 6.42 million commercial hogs, up 15.24% year-on-year; the average selling price of commercial hogs was approximately RMB 10.36 per kilogram, down 19.57% year-on-year; and revenue from commercial hog sales was approximately RMB 8.52 billion, down 6.01% year-on-year.

Industrial Securities noted that since 2026, the national average hog price has continued to decline, intensifying cash flow pressure on the breeding side, and industry capacity reduction is expected to accelerate. However, the supply-strong-demand-weak pattern has not fundamentally changed, and the overall rebound height remains limited.
