CGN Power Co., Ltd. announced that Unit 2 of its subsidiary, CGN Huizhou Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., completed all commissioning work on 3 August 2026 and has been certified as qualified for commercial operation. The unit will formally enter commercial service once customary permits, including the Electric Power Business Permit, are obtained.
The addition of Huizhou Unit 2 lifts CGN Power’s portfolio of operating nuclear reactors (including associates) from 30 to 31 units. Total installed nuclear capacity rises by 1.20 GW, or 3.51%, from 34.25 GW to 35.45 GW.
Huizhou Nuclear remains a wholly owned subsidiary of CGN Power. The company’s board confirmed the development through a voluntary announcement filed on 3 August 2026.
