PetroChina Launches First Heavy-Duty EV Charging Station on Yunnan-Tibet Route to Solve Freight Energy Supply Challenges

Deep News12-21 15:11

Recently, PetroChina Yunnan Sales Branch (referred to as "Yunnan Sales") has officially put into operation the first heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging station, Dongshan Station, at a critical node of the Yunnan-Tibet national strategic corridor. This marks a breakthrough in the development of new energy infrastructure along this vital logistics route, transitioning from zero to one.

Located in the Jinshan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, Dongshan Station sits at a strategic point along the transportation corridor leading into Sichuan and Tibet. Within a 3-kilometer radius, the station is surrounded by key industrial bases such as the Southwest Cement Plant and railway freight yards, while also being directly connected to the Guning Expressway and Lijiang East Ring Expressway. This creates a seamless "golden triangle" energy supply network linking production hubs, railway distribution, and major highway routes.

The station is equipped with eight 120KW DC fast-charging stalls, capable of simultaneously serving eight medium-to-large new energy freight vehicles. This significantly reduces charging time, addressing the core challenges of "difficult and slow charging" faced by long-haul freight drivers. Additionally, it provides reliable energy support for national key projects, including the construction of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway and hydropower development in Diqing and Tibet.
