BAMA TEA (Bama Tea Co., Ltd.) announced a senior management reshuffle and related regulatory developments effective 4 November 2026.
Mr. Cheng Ching Kit will step down as Joint Company Secretary and Authorised Representative owing to other work arrangements. The Board confirmed that Mr. Cheng has no disagreements with management and no matters requiring shareholder attention.
To fill the vacancy, Ms. Oh Sim Yee has been appointed Joint Company Secretary and Authorised Representative. Ms. Oh brings more than 13 years of corporate secretarial experience and has been an associate member of both The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute and The Chartered Governance Institute (U.K.) since 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Victoria University, Australia.
Mr. Wang Wenlong continues as the other Joint Company Secretary. With over 16 years of finance-sector experience—including roles at GF Securities, Bank of Communications, Shenzhen Yihu Investment Management, and Shenzhen Hengyue Asset Management—Mr. Wang also serves as an executive director and board secretary. He holds a master’s degree in finance from Peking University and obtained listed-company board secretary qualification from the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in May 2024.
Concurrent with these appointments, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has granted BAMA TEA a new waiver from strict compliance with Listing Rules 3.28 and 8.17 regarding Mr. Wang’s eligibility to serve as Joint Company Secretary. The waiver extends from 4 November 2026 to 27 October 2028 on two conditions: 1. Mr. Wang must continue to be assisted by Ms. Oh during the waiver period. 2. The waiver may be revoked in the event of material breaches of the Listing Rules.
Before the waiver expires, the company must demonstrate that Mr. Wang has acquired sufficient experience to discharge company-secretary duties independently, eliminating the need for further waivers.
The Board expressed gratitude to Mr. Cheng for his service and welcomed Ms. Oh to her new roles.
