Deep News07-14

The mayor of Yichun City in Heilongjiang Province, Yuan Fangjiang, recently conducted an inspection tour in the Yimei District to examine the city's waste and sewage treatment operations. He stressed the importance of firmly establishing and implementing a correct view of political achievements, adhering to the principle of building cities for the people, and continuously improving the standards of waste and sewage treatment to ensure the city operates smoothly, safely, and in an orderly manner.

During a visit to the domestic waste incineration power plant operated by Zhongke Environmental Protection Power Co., Ltd., Mayor Yuan gained a detailed understanding of the waste treatment, incineration, power generation processes, and the plant's operational status. He emphasized that the harmless and resource-based disposal of domestic waste is a crucial component of urban governance. Enterprises must prioritize safety and environmental protection, scientifically standardize waste collection, transportation, and disposal, maintain environmental facilities routinely, and ensure the stable storage and collection of domestic waste, the reliable operation of incineration for power generation, and consistent compliance with environmental emission standards. It is essential to balance the needs of urban development with enterprise growth, actively seek policy support, plan for the expansion of waste storage facilities, and persistently enhance the level of resource utilization for urban domestic waste.

At the Baist Sewage Treatment Plant, Mayor Yuan inspected the sewage treatment process flow and the routine monitoring of water quality on-site. He underscored that sewage treatment is vital for regional water environment safety and the immediate interests of the public. It is necessary to focus closely on key effluent quality indicators, strictly adhere to regulatory standards, precisely manage measures in each stage including biochemical treatment, sedimentation, and disinfection, continuously improve sewage collection and treatment capacity, rigorously monitor the operation of online monitoring equipment, ensure stable and compliant sewage discharge, and strengthen the protective barrier for the city's water environment. Enterprises must be held accountable for their primary responsibility in production safety, strictly implement safety management measures, promptly identify and address potential risks and hazards, and firmly uphold the bottom line of safety.
