A new platform for economic and trade cooperation between Hebei Province and ASEAN countries has been established with the inauguration of the Hebei-Thailand Cross-Border Trade and Investment Cooperation Base. The "Meet ASEAN · Hebei-Thailand Business and Investment Negotiation Conference" was recently held in Shijiazhuang, attended by over 200 representatives from government departments, business associations, traders, purchasers, and investors from China and Thailand. It featured various segments including inspection visits, policy interpretation sessions, signing and inauguration ceremonies, and negotiation meetings.
During the event, Thai delegates and Hebei organizers visited the Shijiazhuang International Agricultural Products Wholesale Market to conduct on-site inspections of industrial development conditions, reaching an intent for direct procurement and supply cooperation of high-quality Thai fruits. At the Hebei-Thailand Business and Investment Forum, the Provincial Department of Commerce and the Asia International Trade and Investment Chamber presented overviews of business environments, industrial strengths, market demands, policy measures, and investment intentions in Hebei and Thailand respectively. The Asia International Trade and Investment Chamber and the Hebei Import and Export Association jointly inaugurated the Hebei-Thailand Cross-Border Trade and Investment Cooperation Base, marking the establishment of a dedicated platform for regular exchanges between Hebei and Thailand. A key highlight of the event was the efficient matchmaking of supply and demand. Organizers pre-released a catalog of Thai market demands covering hundreds of products across five categories including household goods, food and health products, textiles and apparel, and automotive parts. Purchasers from Thailand, Australia, Mongolia, South Korea, and Bangladesh announced procurement needs on-site, while over 70 Hebei-based enterprises showcased specialty products such as auto parts, organic food, and medical equipment. Companies including Shijiazhuang Hongtai Transmission Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and斯特龙投资集团有限公司 expressed clear investment intentions toward Thailand.
