Data from the China Construction Machinery Association reveals that the average monthly operating hours for key construction machinery products reached 73.8 hours in June 2026. This figure represents a year-on-year decrease of 4.48% and a month-on-month decline of 4.61%.

Specific Product Breakdown

The detailed average operating hours for various machinery types in June were as follows: excavators at 58.1 hours; loaders at 96.7 hours; truck cranes at 81.6 hours; crawler cranes at 71.9 hours; tower cranes at 50.6 hours; road rollers at 25 hours; pavers at 28.7 hours; rotary drilling rigs at 59.8 hours; off-highway mining dump trucks at 124 hours; concrete pump trucks at 35.1 hours; concrete mixer trucks at 85.2 hours; and forklifts at 97.1 hours.

Equipment Utilization Rate

Concurrently, the overall equipment utilization rate for these key products in June 2026 was recorded at 51.1%. This marks a decrease of 5.83 percentage points compared to the same period last year and a drop of 1.25 percentage points from the previous month.

Utilization by Product Category

The utilization rates for individual product categories in June were: excavators at 51.6%; loaders at 54.1%; truck cranes at 53.2%; crawler cranes at 49%; tower cranes at 44.9%; road rollers at 33.3%; pavers at 40.7%; rotary drilling rigs at 38.3%; off-highway mining dump trucks at 33.8%; concrete pump trucks at 32%; concrete mixer trucks at 37.8%; and forklifts at 63.2%.
