On November 25 at the 2025 Guangzhou International Auto Show, the "People's Car" Aion UT Super, jointly launched by JD.com, GAC GROUP, and CATL, held its first batch of owner delivery ceremony. The event marked the commencement of final payments and the official start of full-scale deliveries. Notably, GAC Aion's national first-tier dealerships and JD.com Auto Service's Beijing comprehensive service center also began their first vehicle deliveries on the same day, signaling the official launch of the People's Car delivery network.
Regarding concerns about "after-sales responsibility," GAC clarified that it will handle all after-sales issues. For "delivery timelines and channels," GAC and JD.com detailed their integrated online-offline delivery network, stating that customers can receive their vehicles within 2 to 4 weeks after final payment. GAC further emphasized that orders placed before 24:00 on November 30 would receive full subsidies for any purchase tax incurred due to delays in production or logistics pushing deliveries to 2026.
On battery-swapping infrastructure, CATL announced plans to deploy 1,000 "Chocolate" battery-swap stations across 45 cities in 2025, expanding to 2,500 stations in 140 cities by 2026. The network will also open for franchising. Users can check nearby stations via the Chocolate Swap App or WeChat Mini Program, with a new feature launching next month to track real-time updates on "coming soon" and "under construction" stations.
