Statoil Secures Drilling Permit for Exploration Well in North Sea

The Norwegian Offshore Directorate has granted Statoil a drilling permit to drill an exploration well in the North Sea. The operation will be carried out using the COSLInnovator semi-submersible drilling platform, owned by COSL.

The permit covers well 34/10-56 S within production license 050 HS.

Statoil is the operator of the license, holding a 70% working interest, with Petoro holding the remaining 30%.

The drilling operation will utilize COSL's COSLInnovator semi-submersible drilling platform.

The platform is capable of operating in water depths of up to 750 meters and is designed for harsh environments in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and globally.
