Sony shares fell more than 7% in pre-market trading on Tuesday, reaching $20.94. The decline follows reports that the company is preparing to defend against a lawsuit seeking up to £20 billion (approximately 184.47 billion yuan). The legal action alleges that millions of PlayStation users in the UK were overcharged for game purchases on the platform. The lawsuit claims that Sony suppressed competition by blocking rival download systems and used its market dominance to impose a 30% commission on digital purchases from game developers and publishers, a cost ultimately passed on to consumers.
