WeRide-W (00800) rose more than 5%, reaching HK$19.75 by the time of writing, with a trading volume of HK$5.18 million. The surge follows the company's announcement on November 20 that its autonomous taxi (Robotaxi) has obtained Switzerland's first fully driverless license, issued by the Swiss Federal Roads Office. This permit allows the Robotaxi to operate without a safety driver on public roads in Zurich's Furttal region.
With this milestone, WeRide becomes the only tech company globally to hold autonomous driving licenses in eight countries: Switzerland, China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, France, Belgium, and the U.S. This achievement further solidifies its strategic global expansion.
Additionally, WeRide is set to hold a board meeting on November 24 to review and approve its unaudited Q3 financial results for the period ending September 30, 2025.
In a recent research note, Everbright Securities initiated coverage on WeRide with a "Buy" rating, projecting revenues of RMB 587 million, RMB 1.13 billion, and RMB 2.02 billion for 2025–2027. The firm highlighted WeRide's unique market position and potential for valuation upside.
