BofA Initiates China Mobile H-Shares with Buy Rating, Sees Attractive Entry Point and 75% Dividend Payout Ratio

Deep News10-16

Bank of America Securities has released a research report initiating coverage on China Mobile's H-shares with a "Buy" rating and a target price of HK$98, while assigning a "Neutral" rating to China Mobile Limited (600941.SH) A-shares with a target price of RMB112.

The bank said it is bullish on CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) H-shares primarily due to three key factors: first, the company possesses China's strongest telecommunications business foundation, with a massive user base and leading network position; second, the rapid growth of AIDC and smart computing scale is driving continuous improvement in the monetization capability of artificial intelligence services and applications; third, the company has robust cash flow, a strong balance sheet, and sustainable dividends.

Bank of America Securities believes that CHINA MOBILE H-shares offer an attractive entry point, while A-share valuation is roughly reasonable. The current A/H premium stands at approximately 46%, above the average level of about 34% over the past year.

On financial forecasts, the bank expects CHINA MOBILE's earnings per share compound annual growth rate from 2026 to 2028 to be approximately 3.5%, with the dividend payout ratio maintained at 75%.
