GUMING Shares Rise Over 4% Before Noon; Firm Sees Over 50% Year-on-Year Growth in Core Profit for First Half

Deep News07-28

GUMING (01364) shares rose over 4% before noon, trading at HK$22.40 as of press time, up 3.56%, with a turnover of HK$54.69 million.

CICC released a research report indicating it expects GUMING's revenue for the first half of 2026 to grow 30% year-on-year, with adjusted core net profit (excluding impacts from exchange gains/losses and dividend withholding tax) rising over 50% to nearly 1.7 billion yuan. This performance is better than market expectations, mainly due to lower-than-expected expense ratios and higher-than-expected interest income.

Considering store performance and opening pace, CICC projects first-half gross merchandise value (GMV) growth of nearly 40% year-on-year. On the revenue side, factoring in slower store openings impacting equipment sales, the firm estimates revenue growth will be slightly above 30% year-on-year.

CICC further noted that regarding store openings, given the historical pattern of slower openings in the first half and faster in the second, the pace is expected to accelerate in the latter half of the year. It forecasts net store additions of around 2,000 for the full year, below the initial guidance.

While pressure on same-store sales persists due to a high base in the second half of 2026, the company is actively launching new products. The lychee series, paoluda, and Thai milk tea introduced from mid-May have all performed better than expected. The firm expects the coffee cup share to stabilize at around 20%, which will also help boost same-store sales. Looking ahead to the full year, the firm predicts same-store sales will at least remain stable.
