18-Year J.P. Morgan Veteran Appointed as Head of Asia-Pacific TMT Group at SocGen

French banking giant Société Générale is bolstering its investment banking platform in the Asia-Pacific region. Recently, the bank announced the appointment of William Si-Tu as the Head of the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) Industry Group for Asia-Pacific, effective immediately.

Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Si-Tu will report to Stephanie Clement de Givry, Head of Global Banking and Advisory for Asia-Pacific at Société Générale, and functionally to Carl Bassili, Global Head of Investment Banking. In his new role, he will lead the development and execution of investment banking projects in the TMT sector across Asia-Pacific, with a primary focus on high-growth and innovative technology enterprises, including companies at the forefront of artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and next-generation technology platforms.

William Si-Tu will drive strategic advisory and financing opportunities, encompassing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets (ECM), private financing, and a wide range of tailored financing solutions. He will also play a key role in deepening client relationships and expanding Société Générale's footprint in these rapidly evolving industries.

Mr. Si-Tu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Chicago. He previously spent over 18 years at J.P. Morgan, where he served as a Managing Director covering TMT and industrial investment banking. He has built extensive client relationships with global industry leaders, high-growth technology companies, leading financial sponsors, and venture capitalists in Greater China and the Asia-Pacific region. He has led numerous landmark IPO, M&A, secondary equity offerings, convertible bond, and debt capital market transactions across Hong Kong, the United States, Europe, and other international capital markets.
