Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO) announced that Chief Financial Officer and Joint Company Secretary Zhu Dan has stepped down from her additional role as Secretary to the Board with immediate effect, citing work-related requirements. Zhu will continue in her positions as CFO and Joint Company Secretary. The company confirmed that Zhu has no disagreements with the Board and her departure from the secretarial post will not disrupt daily operations or business management.
At the seventeenth meeting of the ninth Board session held on 29 October 2026, directors approved the appointment of Liang Minghong, age 56, as the new Board Secretary. Liang, a senior economist with more than 30 years of legal and compliance experience in the aluminium industry, currently serves as CHALCO’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. He holds a law degree from Sichuan University and a master’s in law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law. His prior roles include senior legal adviser at Aluminum Corporation of China, deputy general manager of its Legal Department, and leadership positions within several key CHALCO subsidiaries.
Because Liang has not yet obtained the Shanghai Stock Exchange board-secretary qualification certificate, Chairman He Wenjian will act as interim Board Secretary until the certification process is completed.
The Board thanked Zhu for her diligent service, noting her contributions to corporate governance and standardized operations. As of 29 October 2026, CHALCO’s Board comprises three executive directors (He Wenjian, Zhang Ruizhong, Mao Shiqing), two non-executive directors (Guo Gang, Jiang Hao), and three independent non-executive directors (Yu Jinsong, Chan Yuen Sau Kelly, Li Xiaobin).
