Stocks rose on Friday despite a tumble in Amazon shares after economic data pointed to slowing inflation and a steady consumer.
The Nasdaq was own 0.2%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 127 points, or 0.4%. S&P 500 were down 0.1%.
Amazon led the declines in morning trading, plunging by 11% after the company postedweaker-than-expected quarterly revenueand issued disappointing fourth-quarter sales guidance
