Shuangdeng Group Co., Ltd. has called a second extraordinary general meeting (EGM) for 10 November 2026 to vote on the appointment of Dr. Wang Jiajun as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED), following the resignation of current INED Dr. Wang Jin.
Dr. Wang Jiajun, aged 44, holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering & Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology and is a professor at that university’s School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, where he heads the Department of Electrochemistry. His research focuses on electrochemical energy storage and advanced battery materials. Previous roles include associate researcher at Brookhaven National Laboratory (2012–2017). He meets all Hong Kong Listing Rules independence criteria, has no ties with Shuangdeng’s substantial shareholders or management, and does not sit on more than six listed-company boards.
If elected, Dr. Wang will join the Board immediately after the EGM and serve for the remainder of the current Board’s term. He is slated to become a member of the Audit Committee and chair both the Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Annual remuneration is set at RMB0.15 million (before tax), determined with reference to market practice and his responsibilities.
The EGM will be held at 3:00 p.m. (PRC time) on 10 November 2026 at the company’s headquarters, No. 666, Tianmu West Road, Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province. The H-share register will be closed from 5 to 10 November 2026 inclusive; only shareholders on record as of 10 November are eligible to vote. Proxy forms must be submitted at least 24 hours before the meeting.
The Board unanimously recommends shareholders vote in favour of Dr. Wang Jiajun’s appointment.
