Citi Trims MMG Price Target to HK$11.2, Keeps "Buy" Rating

Citi has adjusted its earnings forecasts for MMG (01208), reducing the 2025 fiscal year estimate by 0.9% to US$1.706 billion while raising the 2026 forecast by 2.3% to US$1.58 billion. The bank also introduced a 2028 earnings projection of US$1.624 billion. These revisions incorporate the company's latest performance and management guidance. Citi maintained its "Buy" rating on the stock but lowered the target price from HK$12.5 to HK$11.2. According to MMG management, capital expenditure for the Las Bambas operation in 2025 is projected between US$800 million and US$850 million, primarily for sustaining capital needed to maintain copper production of approximately 400,000 tonnes. The remaining capital expenditure for expanding the Khoemacau project to a capacity of 130,000 tonnes is estimated at around US$800 million.
