China Nuclear Energy Technology Corporation Limited (CNE Tech Corp, 00611) has announced a senior management transition effective 27 August 2026. Executive Director and Vice Chairman Mr. Wu Rong has resigned from the board and relinquished his positions on both the Remuneration and Nomination Committees, citing work adjustments. The company confirmed that Mr. Wu has no outstanding claims against the Group and no disagreements with the board.
Concurrently, the board has appointed Mr. Zhang Qingjun, aged 56, as Non-Executive Director and Vice Chairman as well as a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committees, also effective 27 August 2026. Mr. Zhang is a Senior Accountant (Professor Level), Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Public Valuer. His career spans more than three decades at China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and its affiliates, holding senior finance and supervisory roles, most recently serving as Chief Accountant of CNNC Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. and CNNC Investment Ltd. Since May 2024 he has additionally served on the Nuclear Industry Branch of the China Association of Chief Financial Officers and the Nuclear Law Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society.
CNE Tech Corp has entered into a three-year letter of appointment with Mr. Zhang, effective from 27 August 2026, terminable by either party with three months’ written notice. Mr. Zhang will not receive remuneration for his roles as Non-Executive Director and Vice Chairman.
Following the changes, CNE Tech Corp’s board now comprises: • Non-Executive Directors: Mr. Wang Haoying (Chairman) and Mr. Zhang Qingjun (Vice Chairman) • Executive Directors: Mr. Qiu Wenhe (Vice Chairman), Mr. Liu Genyu, Mr. Li Xiaofeng, and Ms. Du Ruili • Independent Non-Executive Directors: Dr. Xu Shiqing, Dr. Su Lixin, and Mr. Wang Ruzhang
The company expressed appreciation for Mr. Wu’s contributions and extended a formal welcome to Mr. Zhang in his new capacities.
