Hunan Broadcasting System and Mango TV Adjust Weekend Schedule to Mourn Victims of Liuyang Fireworks Factory Explosion

On May 8, Hunan Broadcasting System officially announced that in mourning for the victims of the explosion accident at a fireworks factory in Liuyang, program schedules for Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV from May 8 to 10 have been adjusted. The originally scheduled broadcast of "Dear Inn 2026" on May 8 has been postponed. The live broadcast of "Sisters Who Make Waves 2026," planned for May 8 and 9, has also been delayed. Additionally, the episode of "Hello, Saturday" set to air on May 9 has been rescheduled.

Information indicates that an explosion occurred at Liuyang Huasheng Fireworks Manufacturing and Display Co., Ltd. around 16:43 on May 4. As of 12:00 on May 8, the accident has resulted in 37 fatalities, with one person still missing. Fifty-one individuals are receiving medical treatment, including five in critical condition, though all are reported to be in stable condition.

In a public statement, Hunan Broadcasting System expressed, "The loss of lives is heartbreaking. At this moment, we choose to pause in remembrance."
