Seres Group Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 601127) Chairman Zhang Xinghai recently addressed investor inquiries regarding the potential entry of other suppliers into the Aito vehicle supply chain during a shareholders' meeting. He emphasized the company's unwavering core stance, summarized as three fundamental commitments that will not change: the commitment to building high-end vehicles to the highest standards remains unchanged; the principle of collaborating with top-tier industry supply chains remains unchanged; and the strategic partnership agreements with Huawei and CATL (ASX: 300750 / 03750) remain firmly unchanged.
In its previously disclosed 2025 annual report, Seres Group also noted that the company, alongside global leading partners such as Huawei, CATL, and Bosch, has established a "1+2+N" industrial chain ecosystem. This collaboration aims to achieve complementary strengths and synergistic innovation in the fields of high-end intelligence and high-end electrification.
To date, all models in the Aito series are equipped with batteries from CATL, with cumulative deliveries reaching 1.11 million units and maintaining a record of zero spontaneous combustion incidents. Notably, in late June of last year, two CTP 2.0 high-end battery pack production lines operated by CATL officially commenced operations within the Seres super factory. This initiative marks the first time CATL has adopted an "in-factory" cooperation model, enabling localized production and supply of power battery systems for the Aito vehicle series.
