Yanyuan County in Sichuan's Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture boasts over 420,000 acres of apple orchards. Today, ripe apples are sorted, packed, and placed into exquisitely designed cartons before being shipped nationwide, boosting local incomes. The shift from roadside bulk sales to premium packaging is credited to the targeted assistance from Jiangyang District, Luzhou City.
In July 2023, the fourth batch of Jiangyang District's aid team arrived in Yanyuan County to support local development. The funding enabled Liangshan Green Sailing Technology Co., Ltd. to acquire advanced equipment, including a platen die-cutting machine, a corrugated paper laminator, and a 2.2-meter-wide corrugated cardboard production line, significantly enhancing packaging capacity.
"The new die-cutting and laminating machines have drastically improved carton quality, precision, aesthetics, and functionality," said Hou Dehai, General Manager of Green Sailing. The company now produces not only standard boxes but also custom high-end gift boxes, carry cases, and specialty packaging for farmers.
So far this year, the company has fulfilled over 800,000 of its 1 million orders, with annual output value expected to exceed 10 million yuan. "Our output value has surged fivefold year-on-year, marking the rise of a local industry leader and boosting Yanyuan’s 'three fruits and one leaf' full-industry-chain value," Hou added.
