Prudential plc repurchases 1.89 million shares on LSE in late August

Prudential plc (PRU) announced on Sep, 1 2026 that it bought back a total of 1,892,469 ordinary shares of 5 pence each from JP Morgan Securities plc between Aug, 24 2026 and Aug, 28 2026 under the authority granted at its 2025 annual general meeting.

The transactions, executed on the London Stock Exchange, were completed at volume-weighted average prices ranging from GBP 10.1512 to GBP 10.3774 per share, with daily details as follows: • Aug, 24 2026 – 381,159 shares at GBP 10.3563 • Aug, 25 2026 – 374,172 shares at GBP 10.3748 • Aug, 26 2026 – 372,429 shares at GBP 10.3774 • Aug, 27 2026 – 380,629 shares at GBP 10.2209 • Aug, 28 2026 – 384,080 shares at GBP 10.1512

Prudential intends to cancel all repurchased shares, which will reduce its outstanding share count to 2,495,195,647, the same number that will represent the company’s total voting rights.

Since launching its share buy-back programme on Jan, 6 2026, the company has acquired 58,751,322 ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of GBP 10.8342 per share.
