Gree Technical School of Zhuhai, established by Gree Electric Appliances,Inc.Of Zhuhai (SZSE: 000651) and headed by Dong Mingzhu as principal, welcomed its inaugural cohort of students on October 4, marking the school's first intake since its founding.
Bright banners reading "Everyone can become a talent, everyone can showcase their abilities" stood out prominently across the campus, as new students and their parents entered in an orderly fashion under the guidance of volunteers. As a full-time private technical school, it attracted over 8,000 applicants for its first enrollment. On October 4, the first day of registration, a total of 326 students reported to campus, with 60% coming from outside Guangdong Province.

At the campus entrance, 16 flags representing "Gree Skill Masters" lined both sides of a 50-meter green path, fluttering in the breeze, with the theme "Skills Continue into the Future" particularly eye-catching. The 191,000-square-meter campus exuded a modern atmosphere throughout. At the registration point located at Mingzhu Building, the names of new students were neatly arranged on a long wall, where many students paused to find their own names and take photos as mementos.
The service desk on the ground floor was crowded with students and parents processing paperwork. Under the guidance of staff, they completed registration, payment, and other procedures, and received welcome packages filled with practical items such as notebooks, power strips, water bottles, and handheld fans.
The inaugural students are enrolled across three departments: Intelligent Manufacturing, Electrical Technology, and Information Technology, covering nine majors including Refrigeration Equipment Operation and Maintenance, Mold Manufacturing, Intelligent Equipment Operation and Maintenance, Mechatronics Technology, Electrical Automation Equipment Installation and Maintenance, Electromechanical Product Testing Technology Application, Internet of Things Application Technology, Multimedia Production, and Computer Application and Maintenance. Among these, Mechatronics Technology and Refrigeration Equipment Operation and Maintenance were the most popular, each opening three classes, with long queues forming at the registration site, making them the hottest choices of this year's enrollment.
Chen Siqi, a new student from Hunan Province, arrived in Zhuhai a day early accompanied by her mother. She chose the Refrigeration Equipment Operation and Maintenance major. Her mother, Ms. Zhou, said: "We chose this place because we value the strong platform that Gree offers, and we trust Principal Dong Mingzhu's educational philosophy. We hope our child can learn real skills here and have a bright future."
The dormitory facilities received unanimous praise from students and parents alike. The new student dormitories are four-person rooms, uniformly equipped with Gree washing machines, Gree air conditioners, combination locks, mattresses, cleaning supplies, and bedding sets. A supermarket is located on the ground floor of the dormitory building, making daily life convenient. "The air conditioners and washing machines are all Gree, and the mattresses and bedding are fully provided," said Mr. Zeng, a parent from Guangzhou who had just finished checking his child into the dormitory. He added with a smile: "I hope my child can learn real skills here, develop good habits, and ideally join Gree Electric after graduation."

Peng Yanjie, a new student from Hengyang, Hunan Province, scored 620 points on the high school entrance exam (out of a total of 760) and achieved near-perfect marks in physics. I grew up tinkering with machinery and circuits alongside him, and I often repair small home appliances myself," he said.
