HKEX Reclaims HK$19.85 Million in Unclaimed 2020 First-Interim Dividends

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) announced that HK$19.85 million of its first interim dividend for 2020—originally HK$3.71 per share and payable on 15 September 2020—has been forfeited and reverted to the company after remaining unclaimed for six years, in line with HKEX’s Articles of Association. The forfeiture became effective on 15 September 2026.

The action complies with Chapter 38 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. The Securities and Futures Commission has stated that it takes no responsibility for the contents of the announcement.

HKEX’s board currently consists of 12 Independent Non-executive Directors, chaired by Carlson Tong, and one Executive Director, Bonnie Chan (Chief Executive). The announcement was authorized by Group Company Secretary Timothy Tsang and released on 15 September 2026.
