On June 30th, A-shares exhibited mixed and volatile performance. The Shanghai Composite Index opened slightly lower, while the Shenzhen Component Index and the ChiNext Index both rose, each gaining over 1%. Computing hardware and chip semiconductor stocks rebounded, with sectors like servers, glass substrates, and optical chips seeing significant gains. Commercial aerospace and defense sectors strengthened, while precious metals, coal, and oil & gas entered a correction phase.

Hong Kong stocks also showed divergent trends. The Hang Seng Index fell over 1% in early trading, while the Hang Seng Tech Index rose before paring some gains, with most technology and internet stocks declining. Chip and semiconductor stocks remained active. In the bond market, treasury futures fell across the board. In commodities, most domestic futures contracts traded lower. Key market movements are as follows:

A-Shares: At the time of writing, the Shanghai Composite Index is down 0.26%, the Shenzhen Component Index is up 0.95%, and the ChiNext Index is up 0.93%.

Hong Kong Stocks: At the time of writing, the Hang Seng Index is down 0.81%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index is up 0.71%.

Bond Market: Treasury futures are falling. At the time of writing, the 30-year main contract is down 0.20%, the 10-year main contract is down 0.03%, the 5-year main contract is down 0.02%, and the 2-year main contract is down 0.01%.

Commodities: Most domestic commodity futures are declining. At the time of writing, lithium carbonate is up 4%, while eggs, pulp, and rubber have risen over 1%. Fuel oil, asphalt, coking coal, rapeseed, iron ore, crude oil, silicon manganese, and polysilicon are also higher. On the downside, Shanghai tin, industrial silicon, hot-rolled coil, coke, palladium, rebar, Shanghai copper, glass, soybean meal, and the containerized freight index are falling. Alumina, stainless steel, Shanghai silver, Shanghai aluminum, Shanghai gold, and others have dropped over 1%, with platinum and Shanghai nickel plunging more than 3%.

The CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) concept is rising. TC Communication is up over 10%, with InnoLight Technology, Shengyi Technology, Eoptolink Technology Inc., Mentech Optical & Magnetic, Shijia Photons, Zhongji Innolight, and Focuslight Technologies Inc. following the upward trend.

Reports indicate that products related to computing power have accelerated their overseas expansion this year. In Wuhan, production lines for optical modules are operating 24/7. With the accelerated global construction of computing infrastructure, exports of this company's 800G and above optical modules have increased by over 100 times year-on-year since the start of the year.

Reports note that Corning has launched its next-generation glass optical interconnect component, Glass Bridge, which directly connects Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) to optical fibers. This technology primarily targets the CPO and glass substrate semiconductor packaging markets, providing connectivity for next-generation AI data center architectures.

Reports indicate that on June 29th, the South Korean government announced plans to build four chip factories in the southwest region, with an investment of approximately 800 trillion won. Additionally, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have unveiled large-scale investment plans, with the combined investment from these two memory giants potentially exceeding 1,000 trillion won (approximately 4.4243 trillion yuan) over the next decade.
