Joyson Electronic, a global provider of intelligent automotive technology solutions, has achieved a significant breakthrough in high-level autonomous driving. The company's first L3 autonomous driving domain controller product is scheduled for mass production and vehicle integration by mid-2027, and will be equipped on models from a leading, well-known automaker. Concurrently, the company's developed L4 autonomous driving domain controller is set to be installed on low-speed unmanned logistics vehicles, positioning it to potentially become the first mass-produced L4 domain controller based on a domestic chip platform. As regulations for the autonomous driving industry become more comprehensive, 2026 is anticipated to mark the inaugural year for L3 mass production, while scenario-specific L4 autonomous driving is reaching a pivotal inflection point from zero to one. In the future, L4 autonomous driving is expected to see explosive growth in smart mobility sectors such as passenger transport, cargo transport, specialized operations, and campus/closed-road applications. Joyson Electronic stated that its series of autonomous driving domain controller products can support not only L3 functionalities but are also applicable to commercial scenarios like Robotaxi and RoboVan. Particularly for the "capillaries" of urban mobility—referring to last-mile logistics, sanitation, delivery, sightseeing, and patrol services—there exists substantial market potential driven by intelligent upgrades. Leveraging its global presence, Joyson Electronic is developing localized solutions tailored to different markets based on mainstream chips from both domestic and international sources. In the domestic market specifically, the company has made a strategic investment in the intelligent assisted driving chip firm New Core Voyage and has established deep collaborations with Black Sesame Technologies, Horizon Robotics, and Axera Technology to create autonomous driving or central domain controller products based on domestic chips. In the autonomous driving sector, Joyson Electronic has built a comprehensive portfolio covering products such as autonomous driving domain controllers and Cross-Domain Fusion Central Computing Units, achieving full-scenario coverage from L2 to L4. For higher-level L4 applications, Joyson Electronic is collaborating with Sinowise to expand the large-scale implementation of L4 technology. Their jointly developed smart port digital management platform, based on "V2X + L4 Autonomous Driving + Intelligent Cloud Dispatch," has been deployed and is operating stably at ports including Ningbo Port and Xiamen Port. Currently, Joyson Electronic is achieving multi-faceted breakthroughs in automotive intelligent businesses encompassing autonomous driving, smart cockpits, and intelligent connectivity. In the third quarter of 2025 alone, the company secured global orders exceeding 20 billion yuan for autonomous driving domain controllers, Cross-Domain Fusion Central Computing Units, intelligent connectivity solutions, autonomous driving systems, and in-vehicle multi-screens.
