Shuanghui Development Reports Flat First-Half Profit Amid Strategic Overhaul

Henan Shuanghui Investment & Development Co., Ltd. (000895.SZ) unveiled its interim results for the first half of 2026, revealing a net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 2.306 billion, a marginal decline of 0.76% year-on-year.

The company generated operating revenue of RMB 28.086 billion during the reporting period, marking a 1.16% decrease from the prior year, alongside a basic earnings per share of RMB 0.6655. Notably, its net profit excluding non-recurring gains and losses reached RMB 2.286 billion, reflecting a 3.22% increase.

Total external sales volume of meat products surged 14.86% year-on-year to 1.8 million tons in the first six months of 2026. During this timeframe, the firm executed a series of market professionalization initiatives, including establishing a key account management center, forming a dedicated special-channel sales team, rolling out lean sales pilots, and launching a fresh meat business academy. These measures are designed to sharpen focus on new retail, new channels, and emerging terminals, while strengthening standardized management and professional operations to boost channel efficiency, elevate terminal service quality, and enhance competitive positioning.

In the meat products segment, the company continued to expand its sales network in the first half of 2026. Volume through traditional channels grew 1.4% year-on-year, reversing a previous decline, while new channels surged 43.8%, demonstrating robust momentum. The fresh meat business accelerated market penetration, with external sales volume climbing 19.6% and scale steadily expanding.

During the reporting period, Henan Shuanghui Investment & Development Co., Ltd. launched a strategic program combining premium brand rejuvenation with regional product innovation. On one front, it leveraged the equity of national brands like "Shuanghui Wangzhongwang" through health-oriented and high-end product iterations, introducing a children's variant enriched with DHA algae oil and intensifying development of premium customized offerings under the Smithfield and Argal labels to sustain brand vitality. On another front, the company capitalized on its nationwide R&D and production footprint to tailor products to regional palates, developing distinctive flavors such as sesame paste sausages, durian-filled sausages, and grilled pepper crispy bone sausages to strengthen brand appeal. As a result, sales of new products jumped 33% year-on-year in the first half of 2026.
