This repurchase represents the concrete implementation of the company's previously announced buyback plan. On October 20, 2026, AleBund-B announced that, pursuant to the general mandate granted by shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting, it would repurchase H shares on the open market within the validity period and scope of the authorization, depending on market conditions, with a maximum total repurchase amount of HK$100 million, including brokerage commissions, stamp duties, and other related transaction costs.

According to the announcement, the repurchase funds come entirely from the company's own funds and do not utilize proceeds from the global offering; the repurchased H shares will be fully or partially cancelled and/or held as treasury shares. The company also stated that it may further repurchase shares within the applicable authorization scope depending on market conditions.

AleBund-B focuses on the field of kidney diseases and related chronic conditions, with a product portfolio covering different stages of chronic kidney disease and its complications. Its commercialized product, Maxiro®, is a long-acting erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) used for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease. In the first half of 2026, the product achieved sales of RMB 24.8 million, representing a year-on-year increase of approximately 105%.

In terms of research and development, the company expects multiple pipeline programs to continue making progress from the second half of 2026 through 2027. Among them, the China New Drug Application for the hyperphosphatemia candidate AP301 has entered the registration review process, and the global Phase IIb multi-regional clinical trial for another hyperphosphatemia candidate AP306 is underway. The dual PPAR agonist AP303 will initiate site selection for a basket Phase II trial in diabetic nephropathy and IgA nephropathy, while simultaneously preparing Phase II clinical trials for autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). The IgA nephropathy candidate AP308 received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for an Investigational New Drug (IND) application in September 2026, and a Phase I clinical trial is planned to be initiated in the near future.
