WeChat, the popular social media platform from Tencent, has formally unveiled a new search function for its 'Moments' feature.
Through its official account, the company detailed that users can now locate their own past posts with greater precision. By navigating to the 'Me' section, selecting 'Moments', and using the search icon in the top right corner, individuals can input keywords. The search will return results from the text, images, links, and even comments associated with their previous 'Moments' updates.
Additionally, the platform has introduced a timeline view for the 'Moments' photo album. This allows users to browse their shared photos by scaling and switching between yearly, monthly, and daily views for easier navigation.
WeChat noted that the new search capability is being released in a phased rollout. Users who have not yet gained access to the feature are advised to wait patiently as it becomes available to all accounts.
