JD Logistics (JINGDONG Logistics) released its fifth Environmental, Social and Governance Report, detailing operational expansion, decarbonisation progress and strengthened governance during 2025.
Key financial metrics • Total revenue climbed to RMB 217.10 billion, representing a 20.0 % compound annual growth rate since 2021. • Revenue from external integrated-supply-chain clients rose 33.0 % to RMB 35.90 billion, while the total number of such clients increased to 91,161. • The warehouse network expanded to more than 34 million m² of GFA, supported by 19,000-plus delivery stations and outlets.
Environmental performance • Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse-gas emissions totalled 11.88 million tonnes of CO₂e; emission intensity improved 10.67 % year-on-year to 54.7 tonnes of CO₂e per RMB million of revenue. • Roof-top photovoltaic capacity more than doubled to 210.44 MW, delivering 99,846 MWh of green power. • Self-operated new-energy vehicles surpassed 14,000; rail routes exceeded 700, and high-speed rail plus container services cut 424,800 tonnes of carbon. • Reusable cooler-box usage reached 89.36 million cycles, while secondary carton reuse exceeded 300 million units.
Social indicators • The workforce grew to 682,705, with RMB 79.90 billion in compensation and benefits paid to frontline employees. • 100 % of employees are covered by social insurance and collective bargaining; 100 % received health-and-safety training. • Employee satisfaction scored 4.51/5; turnover declined to 12.6 %.
Governance highlights • Independent directors account for 78 % of the seven-member board; women hold 33 % of seats. • The company gained DCMM Level 5 data-governance certification, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 27701 and retained ISO 27001. • Supplier oversight spans 22,401 partners worldwide; all sign anti-bribery and ESG compliance agreements.
Technology and innovation • Annual R&D investment reached RMB 4.10 billion; authorised patents and software copyrights exceeded 5,500. • “Super Brain LLM 2.0” and “LangzuTech” automated solutions cut R&D cycles by 50 % and boosted warehouse-picking productivity by 10 %.
Climate strategy and targets • Short-term SBTi-verified goals include a 63 % cut in Scope 1-2 emissions and a 66.33 % cut in key Scope 3 categories by 2035; net-zero across the value chain targeted for 2050.
Community impact • Public-welfare donations totalled RMB 1.90 million and employees contributed 24,731 volunteer hours, including rapid disaster-relief logistics during floods and typhoons.
Management states that JD Logistics will deepen its “AI+” strategy, scale green technologies and strengthen overseas expansion to align long-term growth with global sustainability goals.
