Pango Think Tank's Yi Peng: Distribution System Reform Must Be Prioritized Amid Rapid AI Development

The "Applauding China's Economy — Entrepreneurs' Night 2026" launch ceremony was held in Beijing on November 6, with Yi Peng, Chairman of Pango Think Tank, attending and delivering remarks.

He proposed that against the backdrop of rapid artificial intelligence development, distribution system reform should be taken seriously to help bring about a society of joyful living sooner.

Yi Peng believes that with the rapid advancement of AI robots, fewer people will need to work, and wealth may concentrate in the hands of a very small number of individuals.

"If distribution system reform is not pursued, Musk will be a ten-trillion-dollar rich man, while we may have no money — so distribution system reform is inevitable," he said.

He mentioned that the founder of Anthropic, which is about to go public in the United States, donated 80% of his equity, and that distribution system reform requires many people to participate.

Yi Peng called on Chinese entrepreneurs to continue leveraging their strengths in creating wealth, making the pie bigger, while actively cooperating with society to advance distribution system reform.

"Because having so much money is meaningless — the future trend is to let ordinary people eat well, drink well, have fun, and watch more short dramas, so that a society of joyful living will arrive sooner," he said.
