MEITU (01357) saw its shares climb more than 12%, trading at HK$4.48 with a turnover of HK$595 million as of the latest reporting time.
Recent data from DianDian's June ranking of the Top 30 Chinese non-gaming companies by overseas revenue shows that multiple image editing applications under MEITU, including AirBrush and BeautyCam, have maintained growth in international revenue for several consecutive months. The U.S. market has been particularly strong, driving the company's ranking to third place on the list. This highlights the commercialization potential of AI visual creativity products in overseas markets.
UBS previously noted that productivity-focused products like DesignKit are generating significant revenue contributions from PC users, which could present a potential upside surprise. Notably, at the company's image festival in June, MEITU launched eight AI products covering creative scenarios such as designer communities, portrait retouching, commercial design, talking-head videos, concept imaging, music visualization, AI short dramas, and AI image production lines.
Oriental Securities believes that with its accumulated expertise in the design and creativity field, MEITU has a clearer strategy for its imaging creativity products. The company's multi-modal production and delivery capabilities leave room for commercial growth, offering a promising outlook.
